Reporting to the Corporate Director, Protective Services, EDM and Parking, the Business Continuity Officer (BCO) conducts the planning, delivery and evaluation of Covenant Health’s Business Continuity programs and services. In addition to Business Continuity Planning, the BCO will also work with the EDM team to respond to incidents impacting Covenant Health sites. The BCO will also develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and leaders, municipalities, provincial (e.g. Alberta Health and Wellness) and health care stakeholders including Alberta Health Services and government departments (e.g. Alberta Emergency Management Agency).

Required Qualifications:
Diploma in Business Continuity, Emergency Disaster Management, Business Administration or a related discipline. Minimum five years of experience in an Emergency Disaster Management role in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. A Bachelor’s degree with a major in a related discipline may be considered equivalent to two years of related experience.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of business continuity and emergency disaster management concepts such as risk assessment methodology, incident management systems and frameworks. Demonstrated ability to lead diverse groups, think analytically, analyze and interpret complex technical operating information and make decisions under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of I-100, I-200, Emergency Operations Centre courses or training.
