We are looking for a high-performing Senior Accountant who wants more than a routine accounting role. This is an opportunity for someone who is excited to take ownership, improve processes, support leadership, and help build a scalable, best-in-class finance function in a fast-growing technology company.
This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and excited about automation, systems, and continuous improvement. You will have broad exposure across accounting, financial reporting, payroll, billing, accounts receivable, cash flow, compliance, and finance operations.
This is an in-person role based in Vancouver, requiring regular onsite collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What You’ll DoAccounting, Close & Financial Reporting
- Own and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close in NetSuite
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end working papers
- Maintain the general ledger in compliance with ASPE
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with meaningful variance analysis against budget
- Support external audits, reviews, tax filings, and compliance requirements
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, SOPs, internal controls, and documentation
Billing, Revenue & Accounts Receivable
- Ensure accurate and timely customer setup, invoicing, billing, and cash application
- Review customer contracts for financial accuracy and revenue recognition considerations
- Maintain accurate customer master data across HubSpot and NetSuite
- Reconcile AR subledger to the general ledger monthly
- Monitor AR aging, lead collections follow-up, and support DSO improvement
- Prepare revenue, deferred revenue, and contract-related reconciliations
- Support revenue schedules, forecasting inputs, and management reporting
Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Own day-to-day cash flow monitoring and forecasting
- Track expected customer collections and key cash outflows, including payroll, vendors, taxes, and other obligations
- Prepare monthly cash flow reporting and provide insight into working capital trends
- Support banking activities, payment processing, and cash reconciliations
- Partner with leadership on short- and medium-term cash planning
Payroll & Global Finance Operations
- Process and/or oversee payroll across applicable jurisdictions
- Coordinate with internal teams and external payroll providers to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely submission
- Prepare payroll journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end working papers
- Support payroll tax remittances, year-end reporting, and statutory requirements
- Improve payroll processes, controls, and documentation as the company scales
AP, Vendor Review & Compliance
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy, reasonability, and contract compliance
- Ensure charges align with approved contracts, pricing, and usage
- Support AP processing, coding, and vendor payment planning in NetSuite
- Prepare, review, and support regulatory filings, including U.S. sales tax, WCB, WSIB, Texas Franchise Tax, and other applicable filings
- Maintain supporting documentation and assist with resolving notices or discrepancies
Systems, Process Improvement & Leadership
- Help improve and automate finance workflows across NetSuite, HubSpot, billing systems, and related tools
- Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable processes, controls, and SOPs
- Support finance projects from planning through implementation
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, RevOps, Customer Success, Operations, and leadership
- Supervise and review transactional accounting support as needed
- Provide clear instructions, training, and feedback to support accuracy and accountability
What We’re Looking For
- Strong accounting experience, ideally in a fast-paced or growth-stage company
- Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, AR, AP, and cash flow
- Strong systems mindset; NetSuite and HubSpot experience are assets
- Experience with SaaS, technology, manufacturing, or robotics is an asset
- Strong understanding of ASPE and revenue recognition principles
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive, ownership-focused mindset with a desire to improve processes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- Someone who wants to grow into broader finance leadership over time

The salary range for this role is $70,000–$90,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and market alignment.
