About the Role:
On behalf of our client—a global leader in commercial food manufacturing and one of North America’s premier industrial bakery brands—we are seeking dedicated Industrial Bakery Mixers to join their state-of-the-art facility.
As a Mixer, you will play a vital operational role in driving the core baking process for some of the world's most recognized baked goods. You will operate high-capacity industrial mixing machinery, execute precise recipe formulations, and manage raw ingredient scaling. Candidates who demonstrate exceptional reliability, physical stamina, and safety consciousness during this 6-month contract will be prioritized for contract extensions and direct full-time permanent placement with our client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulation & Batching: Read, interpret, and strictly execute recipe formula sheets; accurately scale, measure, and combine raw ingredients in proper sequence.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate semi-automatic industrial mixers (spiral and horizontal configurations).
- Line Feeding & Material Logistics: Move heavy mixed dough batches back and forth to keep processing lines continuously supplied at supervisor pace.
- Documentation & HACCP: Accurately log batch details, lot numbers, mixing times, and dough temperatures; sign off on formula sheets for Quality Assurance.
- Food Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized work zone adhering strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), WHMIS, 5S, and allergen control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in commercial baking, food manufacturing, or heavy batch-mixing production is strongly preferred.
- Physical Demands: Heavy physical labor required. Must be able to regularly lift 50–100 lbs, push/pull weighted dough troughs, and stand for extended periods in a warm factory environment.
- Technical Skills: High school diploma or equivalent; basic math skills for scaling recipes; strong written and verbal English communication.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
