Valiant TMS, a global industry leader, is on the lookout for a dynamic Surface Designer to join our E.R. St. Denis (Hemming) team! As a surface designer you will be contributing to the design of custom hemming tools. What you’ll get to do

Design projects using solid geometry and prepare layout and detail drawings with solid modeling techniques.

Construct and modify design and surfacing mathematical surfaces.

Input identification data, codes, and design instructions to retrieve and display necessary drawings and graphics, including grids, scales, radii, point locations, vertical and horizontal lines, drafting symbols, and textual data.

Manipulate displayed graphics by rotating views, adjusting dimensions, and modifying data to develop designs or update drawings.

Verify the completeness and accuracy of final drawings on screen before releasing or storing design data.

Produce finalized hard copy drawings, including specified elevations, cross-sections, projections, or other required details.

Experience with sheet metal stamping or hemming die designs is recommended.
What we are looking for
-
Experience: Previous experience working with sheet metal stamping or hemming die designs is recommended. Experience in tool design, specifically surface designing, with an emphasis on stamping, would be an asset.

Qualifications:
- University degree or College diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Five (5) years of direct experience with 3D and 2D design

Experience using Catia and NX Unigraphics

Familiarity with the stamping process

Skills: Strong safety focus, excellent time management and organizational skills and someone determined and committed to delivering results

Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

The expected compensation for this position is $30.00 – $38.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, or location.
