Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper/Maintenance technician to maintain and enhance the appearance and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role involves performing landscape maintenance, gardening, and general upkeep to ensure a safe, attractive, and well-maintained environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with horticulture, landscape maintenance, and the use of various tools to support our groundskeeping operations. Once we see that you are experienced your pay wage will be bumped up to $25/hourly and can go even hire as time goes on!
Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas through mowing, trimming, planting, and watering.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems to perform routine maintenance tasks.
- Perform landscape maintenance including pruning, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control.
- Repair and maintain outdoor structures, pathways, fences, and irrigation systems.
- Assist with seasonal planting and removal of plants or debris to keep grounds tidy.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues related to landscape health or safety hazards and address them promptly.
- Support general maintenance activities as needed to ensure the safety and aesthetic quality of outdoor spaces.
Qualifications
- Experience with horticulture, gardening, or landscape maintenance preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for landscaping and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their repair is a plus.
- Ability to operate lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including lifting heavy equipment or materials when necessary.
- Prior experience in groundskeeping or maintenance roles is desirable but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
