Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Highway Dispatch and Planner for Long Haul Open Deck Transport to join our team in Surrey BC. This role is focused on keeping our fleet rolling by building relationships with clients, brokers, carriers, shippers and forwarders so we can safely and profitably haul their cargo.
Flatdecks, stepdecks, lowbeds, and loads that don't fit in a box. We move regular, oversize and overweight freight across Canada and the U.S. — and we need a dispatch planner who can build the run, book the freight, and keep the fleet rolling. This is a seat where planning and dispatch live on one desk. You own the load from quote to delivery.
Work directly with clients to quote and ship their freight all over Canada and North America — from single flatdeck loads to multi-truck project moves.
Hunt down loads from freight forwarders, brokers, shippers, and carriers — plus intercompany freight from our in-house brokerage. Keep the decks loaded in both directions.
Manage and dispatch the highway fleet — company trucks and owner-operators. Build efficient runs, keep drivers moving, and keep customers in the loop.
Coordinate oversize and overweight permits when the load calls for it — routes, dimensions, pilot cars, and everything in between
Plan every run to comply with Hours of Service rules in both Canada and the USA. Legal, safe, and on time — in that order.
