Join the NEW WEST GROUP of Companies team as a full-time Lead Hand - Fence Installer/Site Services - Cube Truck Driver,where your expertise in installing temporary fencing and building temporary gravel pads on construction sites as bases for our propane tanks will be pivotal.

Responsibilities
As a Lead Hand - Fence Installer/Site Services - Cube Truck Driver on our team, you will:
- Safely transport cube vans (with a trailer) to and from job sites, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations
- Operate compaction equipment
- Built temporary gravel pads on the construction site as based for our propane tanks
- Set up temporary fencing as required, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques
- Load and unload equipment and materials, ensuring secure transport and storage
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to job assignments and equipment usage
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment, reporting any issues or concerns promptly
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role and industry preferred
- MANDATORY: Valid driver’s license driver’s, and a 10-year commercial driver’s abstract in good standing
- MANDATORY: A proof of experience driving similar vehicles and documentation of previous insurance. This proof should be presented in a detailing a history of safe driving with no claims covering the past six years. These documents can be obtained from previous insurance carriers that have covered you as a driver
- Previous experience in labour-intensive roles such as landscaping, or concrete preparation experience
- Experience with temporary fence setup techniques, preferably with prior experience in a fencing company
- Previous towing or trailer experience will be an asset
- Proficiency in driving cube vans in residential construction areas, with a strong understanding of safety protocols
- Experience towing 20’ trailers safely and effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate paperwork and documentation
- Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills
- Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 80 lbs repeatedly
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference given to candidates with local city knowledge
- Preference given to candidates with landscaping and concrete preparation experience
