INSPECTOR LEVEL A

Hourly rate of pay: $34.19

We have an opportunity for you to join our production team as an Inspector Level A at our facility in Owen Sound, Ontario. Each member of our team plays a critical role in BWXT Canada’s success and in ensuring we meet our customers’ quality, cost and delivery expectations. Primary Function:
To perform all tasks of an Inspector Level A and to conduct non-destructive examinations.

Tasks:
Perform NDE in all areas of the Shop.
Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.
Create inspection reports, maintain and file documentation.
Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
Communicate effectively with internal team members (eg., peers, production leadership, project management, engineering) as well as customer representatives.
Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety and environmental guidelines/regulations.
Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.

Qualifications:
Proven commitment to workplace safety.

Must possess 1 of the following 10:
RT Level 2 or
UT Level 2 or
RT Level 1 or
UT Level 1 or
MT Level 2 or
PT Level 2 or
5 years fabrication/machining inspector experience or
One of either Certified Welding Inspector or CWB-2 or
5 years fitting/welding experience.
Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry.
Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
Proficiency with computer software.

Available to work “off shifts”:
Days: 6:00am to 4:00pm (Mon. to Thurs.) OR
Afternoons: 4:00p.m. - 2:00am (Mon. to Thurs.)

PLEASE NOTE: The successful incumbent will need to work on Day Shift (6am to 4pm; 4 x 10’s) for training purposes. The training will take a minimum of 3 weeks but may last up to 120 working days.
