The Investment Solutions Group focuses on delivering state-of-the-art technology solutions to our stakeholders, who are Traders, Portfolio Managers, Accounting professionals and cross functional teams. The scope of projects, systems and services covers multi-asset trading, quantitative analysis, consolidated record keeping, risk management, enterprise data warehousing, and micro-services for inter-application integration.

We currently have an opening for a Business Analyst, to transform and optimize the book of record solutions of our investment management operations. You will be exposed to a broad spectrum of projects that involve the core record keeping, providing the data back bone to all front, mid, and back office initiatives and stakeholders, having real, tangible impact on HOOPP’s performance.

The exposures to the various aspects of the business will allow you to learn the ins-and-outs of how HOOPP operates. You will be the face of ISG and develop tight-knit relationships with the stakeholders to take our business to the next level.

Roles and Responsibilities

Applying deep accounting knowledge to improve and support Accounting Book of Record processes.
Applying thorough analysis and innovative problem solving to define and implement solutions.
Maintain and seek opportunities to optimize workflows and improve processes based on vendor software; knowledge in SimCorp Dimension or SAP HANA considered a plus.
Work closely with HOOPP business partners and other IT teams to help refine requirements, prototype solutions, and provide demos.
Document requirements using storyboards and visual diagrams which can serve as blueprints for application designs. Update storyboards as requirements change or are refined.
Manage client expectations by maintaining healthy open communications between business and technical stakeholders and keeping relevant parties informed of progress.
Participate in Agile-Scrum practices such as daily standups, grooming, planning, and sprint retrospectives.
Understanding capital markets as well as information technology.
Working in an Agile fashion following Scrum methodology and in sprint delivery cycles.


Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Software Engineering.
5 or more years’ experience in an analyst or similar role in the financial services or related technology industry.
Work experience in or exposure to Agile and Scrum.
Solid understanding in software development and deployment life cycle
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with business stakeholders, developers and other HOOPP partners.
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
Ability to prioritize assignments and work within a team are essential.
Solid understanding of financial instrument trade life cycle, including Equities, Fixed Income, Listed and OTC Derivatives, Securities lending.
Comprehensive understanding of trading, confirmation, settlement and bookkeeping workflows.
Experience with portfolio management and accounting systems is essential. Accountable to yourself and your teammates
