Purchasing Coordinator

Purchasing is a critical function in the success of the company. The Purchasing Coordinator will support the purchasing team by managing the procurement of specific products from assigned suppliers. We are looking for a candidate who has strong communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand and track on-going demand requirements for assigned products/suppliers and create RFQs to ensure adequate supply that also meets the company’s inventory and procurement policies and targets
- Engage assigned suppliers for pre-purchase samples and RFQs, coordinate the testing and approval of samples with Q&A, and select winning RFQ based on provided response and key supporting factors
- Gather multiple quotations for shipments and select best option for the company
- Create and issue POs for selected winning RFQs and manage key PO data such as ETD/ETA during the full lead time cycle of PO (issue to receipt)
- Collaborate with customs broker and forwarding agents/ brokers on incoming or outgoing (return) shipments including managing all required documentation and costs
- Issue and coordinate delivery schedules for incoming shipments with receiving department, inventory, warehouse, and QA.
- Prepare samples of products for evaluation and perform the initial sense test.
- Verify the invoices and compare with the PO and approved quotations; Confirms bank details with vendors / suppliers.
- Assist other departments (Q&A, Regulatory, R&D, etc.) with any issues/topics related to your assigned products/suppliers
- Assist purchasing team and broader NDA management team with any urgent matters, various projects and tasks that may come up.

- Able and willing to maintain strict level of confidentiality regarding laboratory results and records
- Proficient in all functions of Microsoft Office Suite
- College diploma/degree preferably in material management/supply chain
- Minimum 1-2 year of supply chain or purchasing agent experience is required.
