Group NB is a leading recruitment agency in the Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain industries and has operated across Canada since 2007. We are currently seeking, Order picker in Halifax, NS.
Conditions:
- Pay: $30/per hour
- Schedule: Sunday to Thursday (starting 5PM until finish)
Responsibilities:
- Pick and assemble customer orders accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as electric pallet jacks, ride-on pallet trucks, reach trucks, and forklifts (as certified and required).
- Transport products safely throughout the warehouse.
- Verify product quantities, item codes, and order accuracy.
- Stack and secure products on pallets according to company standards.
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Meet productivity, accuracy, and quality performance targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, order picking, or distribution center experience preferred.
- Experience operating MHE, including electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts, preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain MHE certification.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity targets.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe equipment operation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in ambient, refrigerated, and freezer environments.
- Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as required.
Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
