Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing installation and repair, with the ability to work efficiently and safely on various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on construction experience to contribute to high-quality roofing solutions for our clients. Candidates should be comfortable working at heights, low and steep roofs, handling heavy materials, and collaborating with team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.
Duties
- Install shingle roofing systems
- Measure and cut roofing materials accurately according to project specifications and blueprints
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and repairs
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, equipment, and tools as needed for project completion
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Experience
- Previous experience in shingle roofing a must (will consider strong labourers willing to learn)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during roofing projects
- Knowledge of safety standards related to working at heights and handling construction materials and tools
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Must haves:
- Reliable transportation to our shop located in Barrie daily
- Valid Working At Heights Certificate an absolute must
