Working closely with the Sr Director, Corporate HR Business Relations & Advisory Services the Administrator, Human Resources is responsible for providing administrative and clerical direction to ensure that Human Resource communications, programs, and day to day activities are executed in an effective and efficient manner. The Administrator is involved with the coordination and implementation of office procedures and has responsibility for specific projects and tasks.

Performing a variety of administrative tasks at a fully qualified level that may include communication development, assisting in program roll out, record keeping, scheduling appointments and meeting organization, travel, guest arrangements, purchasing and maintenance of office supplies, budget reporting, and data and time entry. Support for Corporate business functions in HR transaction requisitions, employee announcements, monthly HR reporting, approval flow, and assistance with position description development. Most work involves both written and oral communication and requires the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure. On occasion, the Human Resource Administrator will be required to temporarily cover for other Administrative positions during vacations and other leaves.

Key Tasks:
Proactively provide administrative support, including preparation of documents, presentations, scheduling appointments/meetings, handling multiple calendars, preparation of expense reports, processing invoices, and managing travel arrangements;
Provide administrative support for the Corporate HR Advisory team across various locations.
Anticipate the team’s needs and make decisions to contribute to an organized work environment;
Provide assistance on roll out and implementation of key department programs.
Work with Sr. Director to develop communications distributed across Corporate business functions.
Assist with the creation of job postings in the recruitment system.
Process HR transaction requisitions through Nutrien’s HR system.
Work with the HR Shared Services Center (HRSSC) on transaction processing.
Coordination of: meetings and events, travel, catering orders and clean up, interoffice and external mail, postings and announcements, and office supplies.
Production and distribution of Human Resource monthly reports; including headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics.
Department file management and document control including administration of SharePoint sites.
Purchasing of department consumable items: purchase requisition creation, procurement card reconciliation, expense reports (own and others), vendor management.
Assist and support other Nutrien Administrators as needed.

Highly proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and Outlook;
Working knowledge of SAP;
Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with executive staff, service providers and various corporate personnel;
Superior time management and multitasking skills with a strong sense of urgency;
High energy and confident individual with demonstrated organization, prioritization and critical thinking skills as well as proven active listening skills;
Demonstrated writing skills, along with strong verbal communication skills;
Superior attention to detail with an excellent command of English grammar as well as experience of editing and proofreading documents;
Strong team player with the ability and willingness to assume hands-on roles; and
An adaptable self-starter with results-oriented work style.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in an administrative role, with a minimum of 2 years supporting and/or working with senior leadership;
Post-secondary diploma/degree or equivalent experience is considered an asset
