Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer / Draftsman to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and drafting mechanical components, tooling, and custom products using SolidWorks. This role works closely with production and manufacturing teams to develop practical engineering solutions, improve existing products, and support fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components, tooling, and assemblies using SolidWorks / AutoCAD/ Master CAM
- Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, models, and manufacturing documentation.
- Develop and improve plastic and aluminum components, tooling, and production fixtures.
- Collaborate with production, fabrication, and engineering teams on custom product and tooling development.
- Modify and update existing designs to improve manufacturability, quality, and efficiency.
- Support CNC programming and machining processes
- Ensure drawings and designs comply with company standards and manufacturing requirements.
- Troubleshoot design and production issues and recommend practical engineering solutions.
- Maintain engineering documentation, revision control, and drawing records.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to product design and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
Required
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks / AutoCAD/ Master CAM
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and drafting standards.
- Experience working with plastic and aluminum fabrication processes and tooling.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- CNC machining and programming experience.
- Experience designing production tooling.
- Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.

Pay: $90,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
