Civil Construction Carpenter / Skilled Construction Professional
Location: Various Project Sites Throughout Nova Scotia & Atlantic Canada

We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Carpenter / Skilled Construction Worker to support a variety of heavy civil infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to projects such as bridges, culverts, concrete structures, roadways, and marine infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, install, modify, and dismantle concrete formwork systems.
- Assist with the construction of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other concrete infrastructure.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Support concrete placement, finishing, curing, and protection activities.
- Complete project layout, measurements, and site preparation tasks.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment.
- Assist with excavation, grading, drainage installation, and earthworks.
- Perform rigging, material handling, and equipment support duties as needed.
- Work collaboratively with equipment operators, labourers, mechanics, survey crews, and project leadership.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and productivity.
- Perform additional construction duties as required to support project success.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in heavy civil construction, concrete structures, bridge work, or similar infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of concrete formwork and reinforced concrete construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and construction specifications.
- Experience working around heavy equipment and supporting construction operations.
- Adaptable and willing to contribute across multiple aspects of a project.
- Valid Driver's License is considered an asset.

Working Conditions
- Primarily outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Travel throughout Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada may be required depending on project assignments.
- Accommodations and Living Out Allowances (LOA) may be available for projects located beyond a reasonable commuting distance.
- Overtime, weekend work, shift work, and extended hours may be required during busy construction periods.
- Full-time seasonal employment with opportunities to work on a variety of large-scale infrastructure projects.

Pay: $31.00-$36.00 per hour
