Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients to streamline kitchen workflow
- Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests, providing excellent food service experience
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including cleaning utensils, equipment, and work surfaces regularly
- Follow all safety protocols related to cooking, hot surfaces, and equipment use to prevent accidents
- Support inventory management by rotating stock properly and notifying management of low supplies or expired items
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in meal preparation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
