We are seeking a highly motivated and student-centered Admissions Specialist to guide prospective students from inquiry to enrolment.
You will work closely with students, helping them learn more about the College and eventually guiding them to enrolment in a professional and compliant manner.
This is primarily a Sales position and will require meeting targets and work on evenings or weekends, as needed. Any schedule changes will be communicated well in advance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Advise and enroll prospective students into New West College through direct outreach, follow-up and consultative advising. This may include but not be limited to phone calls, in-person/virtual meetings or light travel.
· Contact prospective students promptly after a lead is submitted and follow the appropriate contact workflows.
· Work closely with Marketing to ensure that quality leads are being obtained through marketing strategies.
· Ensure all admission requirements are met prior to successful admission for all prospective students. This may include administering entrance exams, if required.
· Gather and enter all student records into the Student Information System (SIS) promptly.
· Build on the College’s in-house recruitment processes – from lead generation to enrolment conversion
· Track pipeline activity, conversion rates, and enrolment rates using the College’s CRM and reporting tools.
· Keep up to date with new legislation and regulations that impact the admissions process.
· Collaborate with existing Admissions team to process applications during busy times.
Qualifications:
· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
· Minimum of 1+ years of verifiable experience in student admissions, recruitment or enrolment at a post-secondary institution (preferably a PCC).
· Minimum of 1+ years of verifiable experience in B2C sales.
· Experience with and knowledge of HubSpot or similar CRM as it relates to sales pipelines and workflows.
· Working knowledge of Alberta Student Aid application process.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
· Ambition to grow.
· Strong interpersonal presence with the ability to actively engage students, faculty, and external partners in a positive and approachable manner.
· Demonstrated enthusiasm for building connections and fostering collaborative relationships in both one-on-one and group settings.
· Comfortable initiating conversations, facilitating discussions, and presenting ideas with confidence to diverse audiences.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, social media, and virtual conferencing tools.
