As a member of our team, will be tendering various projects, such as: Water/Wastewater treatment facilities, commercial building tenant improvements, hospital renovations, new commercial builds, mechanical, electrical and structural improvements and other diverse projects.
About The Role
- Determine the specific components of the Bidding Process by reviewing project specifications and drawings to determine scopes of work, scheduling and project planning
- Prepare an estimate of all activities required to complete a fully quantified and costed estimate or delegated scope including costing of labour, equipment, material, and subtrade pricing
- Prepare preliminary construction schedules based on self-perform productivities and subcontractor input to determine project duration and resulting overhead costs
- Analyze different quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Identify and propose project risk and cost mitigation as well as the potential for project opportunities and cost savings
- Analyze and propose potential strategies, advantages, or innovations for the project that could provide a more competitive bid.

Responsibilities:
- Download and print drawings and specifications
- Perform area calculations
- Complete material take-offs
- Consult with clients to discuss and formulate estimates
- Review data to determine material and labour requirements and prepare an itemized list
- Order bid bonds and Consent of Surety, tender deposits, etc.
- Attend various project sites
Skills/Qualifications:
College diploma or post-graduate certificate in industry relevant program i.e. Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology
- Ability to comprehend tender documents, specifications, and drawings, with an understanding of contractual requirements
- Detailed understanding of all construction scopes of work
- Proficiency in MS Office package
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Self-driven, professional, motivated to learn with the ability to work independently as well as a team environment

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
