We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Production Assistant to join our team in Scarborough, ON. As a Pharmacy Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and registered technicians in packaging medications and maintaining efficient pharmacy operations. Responsibilities:
- Ensure medications are stored in the correct spaces according to pharmacy guidelines.
- Regularly check and manage expiry dates on medication bottles from the shelf.
- Clean and maintain production machines on a regular basis.
- Thoroughly verify the DIN number for all medications.
- Efficiently fill canisters with the correct products.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy while performing STS.
- Detect and correct errors effectively before medications reach the patient.
- Check packaged medications for accuracy and correct any errors found.
- Package medications accurately and efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a clean and organized work environment..
- Check Med Pouches for any errors, broken tabs, etc.
- Work with medication packaging machines (PacMed and Synmed).
Qualification:
- Keen attention to detail.
- Pharmaceutical or medical background is an asset.
- Ability to distinguish between shape, color, and size.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to stay focused and keep busy with minimal supervision.
- Problem-solving skills, flexible attitude, resourceful, and effective in making decisions.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient with computers.
- Weekend availability is a must.
