Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Handyman to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing facilities within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
- Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Lead maintenance projects, supervise junior technicians, and coordinate repair schedules to minimize downtime.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and documentation.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to restore or improve equipment functionality.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately diagnose problems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility protocols during all maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Supervising experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance roles.
- Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics, and technical troubleshooting.
- Experience with CMMS software for maintenance planning and record keeping.
- Skilled in welding techniques for repairs and fabrications.
- Electrical experience including wiring, circuit analysis, and system diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals effectively.
- Facilities maintenance expertise with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
