Job Overview
Join our team to polish the look of Grimoire of Monsters, our co-op monster-survival roguelike built in Unity. As a 2D Animator, you will animate the characters, monsters, and effects players see across dozens of waves of combat as we polish toward our Steam demo.
Key responsibilities
- Animate 2D characters, monsters, and bosses: idles, movement, attacks, deaths, and reactions
- Work with sprite-based and skeletal animation to fit our pipeline
- Clean up and polish existing animations to raise quality and consistency
- Set up animations in Unity so they play correctly in-game
- Work with the Art Lead and design team to keep timing and style consistent
Who we are looking for
- A current student looking for a co-op or internship term
- A strong 2D animation reel (character or creature animation)
- A good sense of timing, weight, and appeal
- Comfortable working in a remote, team-oriented environment
Bonus skills
- Experience with Spine, Unity animation, or similar 2D skeletal tools
- Frame-by-frame animation experience
- Familiarity with game animation workflows (state machines, loops, events)
- Interest in dark fantasy and monster design
