JOB SUMMARY
As an Occupational Therapist at iScope, you will play a key role in assessing, developing, and implementing customized treatment programs for patients at various stages of rehabilitation.
You will have the autonomy to define your caseload while receiving guidance and support from an experienced interdisciplinary team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support patient recovery and independence.
- Provide therapy sessions using evidence-based interventions, including functional exercises, activity modifications, and environmental adaptations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment outcomes, and updates to care plans.
- Ensure documentation and reporting meets ICBC and insurer standards for motor vehicle accident cases.
- Prepare and submit clinical reports and treatment documentation as required.
- Collaborate with physicians and other allied health professionals to provide integrated care plans.
- Educate patients and families on injury management, rehabilitation strategies, and prevention of future injury.
- Manage an assigned caseload while ensuring patients receive appropriate care and follow-up.
- Maintain professional documentation and comply with FIPPA and PHIPA confidentiality standards.
QAULIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
- Experience working with brain injury, orthopedic injury, or chronic pain populations is considered an asset
