This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.
Reporting to the Manager, the Staffing Clerk organizes staffing requirements as determined by the Nursing Department and ensures the reporting of time worked related duties and clerical functions. Other duties may include:
Prepare schedules for nursing units as per collective agreements, processing time off requests, filling all deficits and communicate changes as appropriate;
Maintain updated staff availability information;
Prepare daily staffing data report, appropriate database and timesheets; and
Other duties as assigned by the Manager
One (1) year Secretarial or Business program
Minimum of one (1) year experience in a clerical position
Demonstrated knowledge of pertinent collective agreements as they relate to staff scheduling
Demonstrated knowledge of computerized payroll, daily time input or accounting systems
Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, database & spreadsheet software programs
Demonstrated judgment and decision making skills
Demonstrated commitment to customer service
Demonstrated communication and conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork skills
Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Demonstrated planning, organization and time management skills

Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours of Work
Permanent, part time (0.4) position; 28 hours bi-weekly
$21.2667 - $23.7947 hourly
