Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tractor Driver to join our vineyard team. The ideal candidate will operate farm machinery safely and efficiently to support vineyard maintenance, irrigation, and harvest activities. This role requires a strong understanding of farm equipment, mechanical systems, and safety procedures to ensure smooth operations across the vineyard. The Tractor Driver will play a vital role in maintaining the health and productivity of our vineyard by performing various tasks with precision and care.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractor and other heavy equipment to perform tasks such as plowing, planting, irrigation, and harvesting.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm machinery using hand tools and power tools.
- Assist with irrigation setup and adjustments to ensure proper water distribution throughout the vineyard.
- Use basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record-keeping related to field operations.
- Handle heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or harvested crops safely and efficiently.
- Perform general farm maintenance including cleaning, inspecting equipment, and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily tasks and ensure timely completion of vineyard activities.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or equipment damage during operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating farm machinery, heavy equipment, or similar vehicles.
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and general farm operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in outdoor conditions for extended periods.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance techniques.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating large vehicles or tractors is highly desirable.
