Position Overview
Guy’s Custom Cabinets is seeking a skilled and dependable Cabinet Maker to join our production team. The successful candidate will fabricate and assemble high-quality custom cabinetry and millwork for residential and commercial projects. This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of cabinet construction, and a commitment to producing accurate, professional work.
Key Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble custom cabinets, millwork, and related components
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials accurately
Operate woodworking equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely
Install hardware, hinges, drawer systems, and other cabinet components
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and design standards
Prepare cabinetry and components for delivery and installation
Assist with on-site cabinet and millwork installations when required
Identify and resolve fabrication or installation issues
Coordinate with designers, CNC operators, shop management, and installation crews
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment
Follow production schedules and complete projects within established timelines
Minimize material waste and use supplies responsibly
Qualifications
Previous experience in cabinet making, woodworking, or millwork production
Strong understanding of cabinet construction, materials, and hardware
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and measurements
Experience using woodworking machinery, power tools, and hand tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Good problem-solving and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and handling cabinet components
Valid driver’s licence is considered an asset
Preferred Skills
Experience producing custom residential or commercial cabinetry
Knowledge of cabinet installation methods
Experience working with laminate, hardwood, plywood, and other millwork materials
Familiarity with CNC-produced cabinet components
Experience with finishing, hardware installation, or detailed custom millwork
