Job Summary: We are seeking a lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, curious, and articulate, with a strong ability to handle a variety of legal matters independently. This role requires a proactive individual who can work autonomously and collaboratively to support TELUS' business objectives.

As a business oriented commercial lawyer, you will support TELUS Business Solutions activities across Canada in a variety of business to business transactions and legal matters, including deal negotiations and agreement drafting related to complex deals with major players in both the public and private sectors as well as the small-medium business market. You will also provide advice on telecommunications, information technology (IT), competition, procurement, cloud computing, Internet of Things, requests for proposals, SaaS subscription agreements, software licenses and professional services agreements as well as data privacy, protection and security matters.

- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of matters, including commercial contracts and corporate governance
- Draft, review, and negotiate various types of agreements and legal documents
- Assist in managing legal risks and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and provide practical legal solutions
- Strive to advance legal and business practices by driving new approaches and process improvements while balancing a high volume of client matters in a timely and effective manner
- Review and recommend improvements to the legal support model for TELUS' engagements
- Collaborate with our M&A team to seamlessly integrate newly acquired companies into the TELUS Business Solutions portfolio, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and operational processes
