About the Team
PetSmart’s Canadian Home Office (CHO) is home to approximately 50 full-time associates who work in departments such as Human Resources, Merchandise Buying and Pricing, Replenishment, Marketing, Finance, Space Planning and more. The small but mighty team at the CHO supports the operations of 140+ PetSmart stores in Canada and works closely with counterparts at PetSmart’s global corporate headquarters located in Phoenix, Arizona. We also share the Canadian home office with our colleagues at PetSmart Charities of Canada—an independent, registered charity dedicated to reducing pet homelessness and supporting the bond between people and pets.
About the Job
The Digital E-Commerce Specialist is essential in translating and implementing merchandising and E-Commerce strategy into the online shopping experience. The Digital E-Commerce Specialist will be responsible for executing fundamental aspects that drive the functionality of the e-commerce business, including but not limited to product set-up, online pricing implementation, executing the promotion plan, along with supporting various cross functional teams with any E-Commerce related concerns. The person in this position will work closely with Buying, Pricing, Customer Experience and the Phoenix Home Office (PHO) Digital Experience teams to enhance and merchandise the online assortment, product information, and category information for PetSmart.ca.
Manages day-to-day responsibilities of the Canada unique elements of the e-commerce site
Serves as subject matter expert and main Canadian Home Office contact for any questions to PetSmart.ca
Implements and manages the pricing execution for PetSmart.ca, including eligibility of AMS planner promotions
Maintains pricing integrity by understanding online and in-store pricing processes and strives for error free promotional execution in a fast-paced retail environment
Reviews and implements promotional plans for In Store Pick Up & Ship To Home
Proof marketing material such as circulars, emails and social media posts with a customer service viewpoint to call out to the marketing team any potential issues or lack of clarity in regards to the customer message
Responsible for all aspects of Canada unique sku set up process for PetSmart.ca in collaboration with merchants, vendors and PHO Digital team
Manages discontinued and clearance strategy for online listings
Optimize product listings using expertise of keyword research, digital marketing, SEM, online display advertising, and SEO in collaboration with Customer Experience, vendors and PHO Digital Experience teams
Supports and assists with key E-Commerce initiatives, IT projects, presentations, reports or any other assigned tasks

Strong Excel skills
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing or equivalent work experience
1-3 years of Merchandising, E-Commerce or Analyst experience
Demandware, Saleforce, or SAP experience preferred but not required
