We are looking for a Junior Family Lawyer to join our boutique law firm in south-east Mississauga
The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years of experience in family law and litigation files, and be able to communicate in Polish.
Requirements
1. Called to the Bar and licensed to practice law in Ontario;
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in family law, including litigation experience;
3. Ability to handle family law files from start to finish;
4. Ability to handle all aspects of files, from intake to resolution, with minimal supervision;
5. Reliability, organization skills, the ability to prioritize, multitask and adhere to strict deadlines;
6. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, coworkers and other professionals;
7. Ability to prepare clients for questioning, mediations and all court appearances;
8. Ability to review and prepare materials including pleadings, affidavits, briefs, facta, and other court documents, and to organize disclosure;
9. Strong research skills;
10. Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
11. Superior communication skills, both verbal and written;
12. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented atmosphere;
13. Ability to appear in court when required;
14. Excellent client relations skills;
15. Ability to communicate in Polish is a definite asset;
16. Candidates with less experience will be considered and capable new calls will be considered.
