Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled ER Registered Nurses (RN) with Canadian experience to join our Nova scotia travel Nursing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency and critical care nursing, with the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a compassionate approach to nursing, particularly when dealing with critically ill patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in ER setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and laboratory results.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records as specified by NSHA
- Participate in case management activities to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist with patient transfers.
Qualifications
- BSc Nursing from a accredited school of Nursing
- Emergency and Critical nursing Care skills
- Minimum of 2 years Canadian ER Nursing experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Active Nova Scotia RN license in good standing
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, CTAS, & TNCC compulsory. ENPC, NRP preferred
- Negative criminal / Vulnerable sector check within the last 90days.

Benefits
- $80 - $90 for all hours worked, No overtime, Statutory holiday 1.5hours.

- Car rental is based on approval by facility.
Length of contracts - 4 weeks - 12 weeks (mandatory completion)
Length of shifts - 12 hours days or nights, 11.25 hours paid.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Pay: $80.00-$90.00 per hour
