Overview
Gray's Landscaping & Snow Removal Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Roll-Off Driver / Equipment Float Driver to join our growing team. This position involves operating roll-off trucks, delivering and exchanging bins, and transporting landscaping and construction equipment between job sites. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, customer-focused, and capable of working independently.
Responsibilities
- Operate roll-off trucks in accordance with company policies and all applicable safety regulations.
- Deliver, pick up, and exchange bins at residential, commercial, and construction sites.
- Transport landscaping and construction equipment safely between job sites using float trailers.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in accordance with industry safety standards.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with all MTO regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, inspections, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with management, dispatch, and customers regarding schedules and job requirements.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and general yard duties when required.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid DZ or AZ Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating roll-off trucks and hauling equipment.
- Experience with float trailers and transporting heavy equipment is required.
- Experience loading, securing, and hauling skid steers, mini excavators, loaders, and other landscape/construction equipment.
- Strong understanding of Ontario transportation regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
