Salary: $40.63 - $43.67per hour

This role will be based in the vascular clinic at the Toronto General Hospital, J Douglas and Tennys Hanson Foot and Wound care clinic. Coaching and mentoring of a Chiropody fellow to build capacity in wound management, by applying specialized knowledge and expertise for advancement in Chiropody. Dedicated to the advancement of applied health sciences to enhance the health of individuals and communities in Ontario and beyond, by working in a collaborative setting. Position Summary:
Development of course curriculum and evaluations to assesses competency
Provides academic guidance to fellow for research activities and clinical course attainment
Commitment to delivery of interprofessional patient centred care
Actively delivery of clinical foot and wound care to patients
Must be committed to continuous quality improvement
Demonstrate flexibility in improving methods to engage and support students
Challenges thought processes, fosters collaboration, and models engagement in critical and rational thinking in all interactions
Plays a role in all aspects of course/program assessment, evaluation and improvement
Team player who works with all colleagues to ensure delivery of the best educational experience
Advocate for excellence in wound and care management at internal UHN, Michener committees and venues, and external forums and symposia
Commitment to the advancement of closing the gap in diabetic foot ulcers
Solution orientated individual, acting as a change agent for the advancement of Chiropody practice and standards of practice
Support best practices in the care of patients with wounds

Position Qualifications:
Completed Masters level education
Registered member in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario
Minimum of one year teaching experience in an academic setting or equivalence
Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
Demonstrated clinical experience and currency in foot and wound care management
Exhibits strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Health Clearances current including Vulnerable Persons Check and immunizations
Current membership OSC, or CFPM preferred
Satisfactory Canadian Police Clearance document required upon hire
Fluency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to utilize information technology
Commitment to collaborative practice, effectively functioning within an Interprofessional team
Excellent decision making, problem recognition and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organization and time management skills
