Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and experience in breakfast / Brunch menus. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory management as needed
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and waste is minimized
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking in a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen sanitation practices
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently under time constraints
- Familiarity with the food industry standards for quality and presentation
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required in a kitchen environment
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory for motivated learners
