Residence and Housing provides housing services for the SFU student community and guests. Contributing to the maintenance of our buildings, keeping them clean, safe, and secure for the Residence community. Working in a collaborative and fun environment.
About the Role
Responds to inquiries, in person or via email, and follows up on tenant maintenance reports and conducts scheduled inspections of student residence buildings and equipment. Coordinates the resolution of identified repair, maintenance, pest control, and cleaning issues; maintains and updates work order, room condition and inventory information in the Residence & Housing software system; monitors the day-to-day operations of the contracted janitorial staff; and organizes and coordinates the relocation of moveable assets. Compiles inspection information; inspects general building spaces; and checks the output performance of building systems including those that are remotely monitored (i.e., heating, air handling, exhaust, plumbing, water, fire suppression, fire and intrusion, elevators, lighting, kitchen and fire suppression equipment). Acts as a resource person and coordinates response procedures for issues related to the contracted provision of services including Wi-Fi.
