Registered Veterinary Technician
Huff Animal Hospital is currently looking for a locum Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are seeking someone available mainly on Saturdays with occasional weekdays, totaling approximately one to three shifts per month depending on the coverage needed.
Duties:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures with precision and care.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Collect and process laboratory samples, perform diagnostic tests, and record results accurately
- Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures.
- Provide compassionate care and support to hospitalized animals, including feeding, cleaning, and comfort measures.
- Able to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
- Genuinely enjoy working with animals and are able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.
- Can stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited program.
- Valid Veterinary Technician license.
Schedule
Weekdays: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturdays: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
