Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled API 650 QC Inspector specializing in storage tanks to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of storage tank construction and maintenance projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction inspection, quality control processes, and blueprint reading. The QC Inspector will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards and project integrity through meticulous data collection and analysis. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of storage tank construction in accordance with API 650 standards
- Collect and document detailed data during various phases of construction and repair activities
- Analyze inspection results to identify potential quality issues or deviations from specifications
- Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify compliance with design requirements
- Perform construction inspection tasks, including verifying materials, welds, and structural integrity
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with construction teams to address deficiencies and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports for project documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction inspection, quality control, or related roles within industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of API 650 standards for storage tanks
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively
- Excellent data collection skills coupled with analytical capabilities to assess inspection findings
- Construction experience with an understanding of welding, materials testing, and structural assessments is highly desirable
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
- Relevant certifications in construction inspection or quality assurance are preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Pay: $40.00-$65.00 per hour
