Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair, heavy equipment maintenance, and industrial machinery. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of trucks and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including dealership vehicles, excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and more. Candidates with experience in welding, electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and power tools will thrive in this role.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems on various machinery
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs
- Conduct heavy lifting as needed for parts replacement or assembly tasks
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities
- Assist in the assembly or disassembly of industrial equipment when required
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs and solutions effectively
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and heavy equipment maintenance
- Dealership experience is a plus
- Familiarity with excavator, crane, forklift operation, and farm machinery is preferred
- Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment or other industrial brands is advantageous
- Skilled in welding, electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience working with HVAC systems or industrial equipment is a bonus
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good customer service skills for interacting with clients or internal teams
