Natural Resource Technician
Maple Leaf Forestry Ltd. is a well-established natural resource consultant based out of Cranbrook, BC. We are hiring for exciting career opportunities forNatural Resource Technician positions. Students or graduates from Forestry, Natural Resources & Sciences, or Environmental diploma/degree-related programs are invited to apply!
The successful candidates will work on a diverse range of projects in various natural resource sectors. Responsibilities may include: vegetation management; environmental and wildlife assessments; ecosystem restoration and wildfire risk reduction; monitoring operations; road and cut block design, reconnaissance, and layout; timber cruising and post-harvest waste & residue surveys.

Preferred Designation, Experience, and Skills:
- Eligibility to obtain a professional designation with Forest Professionals BC, College of Applied Biologists, BC Institute of Agrologists, Engineers and Geoscientists BC, or similar.
- Outdoor enthusiast with a moderate fitness level.
- Experience in field data collection, preparing reports and summaries, and conducting quality assurance on project deliverables.
- Project management skills and leadership for collaborating with team members to achieve project goals.
- Class 5 driver’s license.
- Conversancy with MS Office Suite® and collecting field data on iPad apps.
