Job Description & Summary

A career in Resourcing and Deployment, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to work in cross line of service staffing helping our network be even more agile in the ever evolving markets we work with, providing the right people on the right projects at the right time. You’ll focus on ensuring that resources of suitable skills and calibre are available for tasks and activities as required as well as managing the education, planning, and skills enhancement associated with resources.

As a team, we maximise resource sharing and enable the delivery of PwC to our clients through line of service and cross line of service staffing, forecasting, utilisation, and workload balance while considering development and diversity initiatives.
As a Data Analyst, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
Train and lead staff
Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
As the subject matter expert in data manipulation and business analytic technology tools you will support PwC's Tax Services and will be responsible for analyzing large volumes of data and transforming into a visual storyboard. You will work with Resource Managers who have deep subject matter expertise across a variety of Tax Sectors and develop analysis and reporting to support business decisions. The results achieved will contribute to successfully achieving the business targets and results for each sector as well as assisting in the execution of the National Resource Management strategy

Responsibilities

Prepare and provide reports (using key metrics and various data sources that provide actionable insights) to the Resource Managers to review with their stakeholders.
Analyze standard productivity reports and look for opportunities to turn information into visual reporting.
Merge large volumes of data from multiple data sources.
Develop solid working knowledge of Resource Management technology, including TalentLink Staffing & Deployment, supporting assignment planning allocations, forecasting and reporting.
Collaborating with the Tax RM team with a focus on required enhancements or the development of new reporting to continuously drive improvement and efficiencies to the RM strategies.
Together with the Senior Resource Manager, liaise with client stakeholders to understand requirements for reporting and visualization.
Build and maintain relationships with Data & Analytics team and leverage learning opportunities to advance knowledge of technology tools.
Stay up-to-date on technology tool trends.
Involvement in ad-hoc projects, as required.
Provide training to Tax RM team on use of technology tools.
Multi-tasking and prioritization required to meet deadlines due to unpredictable nature of work environment and volume of requests.
Create and maintain Tax Resource Management reporting operations manual.
Support and delivery of training to all staff on the use of TalentLink Staffing & Deployment.
Knowledge of and ability to present Resource Management policies & practices to client service staff.
Develop a deep understanding of the Resource Management function as it pertains to staffing and deployment of resources.

Requirements:
Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel including advanced charting, pivot tables, pivot reporting, macros, etc.;
Must have the ability to tell a story via the use of visual analytics;
Must have experience with analytic and visualization tools;
Must be an advanced user of Google and Google tools;
Must have experience with data transformation and visualization tools;
Experience cleaning, managing and visualizing data (structured and unstructured);
Have the ability and desire to learn new technology tools and self-educate where required;
Capable of teaching others with knowledge sharing and training;
Strategic and innovative thinking skills with strong problem-solving and project management skills;
Ability to translate business requirements/needs into suggested programs and actions;
A passion for client service and focused achievement of business results;
Strong attention to detail;
Excellent communication skills (written/verbal);
