RNs and RPNs responsible for total patient care to post-stroke or post-acquired brain injury patients
RNs are part of the hospital-wide Code Blue/Rapid Response team.
RNs expected to cross train on Acquired Brain Injury (behavioural brain injury program)
Diploma in Nursing
Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current certificate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation BCLS for registered nurses employed on the Respiratory Rehabilitation and Neurological Rehabilitation nursing units
Must be able to achieve 80% in the Functional Independent Measure (FIM) certification exam within the probationary or familiarization period and on recertification exams if applying to work on any of the following rehabilitation units: 3EA (Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation), 3EB (Amputee Rehabilitation), 3EC (Neurological Rehabilitation), 2EB (TB Rehabilitation) and 2WF (Respiratory Rehabilitation).
Recent related clinical experience preferred
