We are seeking a proactive and responsible Marketing Coordinator, Strategy & Planning to join our Optometric Practices team on a part-time basis. This role will focus on developing, coordinating, and implementing marketing plans in alignment with our proprietary process and marketing frameworks for our managed businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marketing strategies, work proficiently with a remote team, and bring creativity and self-motivation to the table.
This position involves collaboration with a team of marketers, business clients, and the admin team to create and implement effective marketing plans. While experience in the eyecare industry is not required, a keen interest in learning about it is a must. Prior experience is considered an asset. You will be successful in this role if you are capable and confident in your abilities and are also eager to learn more. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate marketing plans for small business clients using established frameworks, including STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) and the 4 P’s (Product, Price, Place, Promotion).
- Apply knowledge of marketing strategies and best practices to create tailored plans that meet client objectives.
- Collaborate with internal marketing teams, clients, and the administrative team to ensure alignment and smooth execution of marketing activities.
- Provide marketing insights and recommendations based on current trends, analytics, and client goals.
- Organize and facilitate virtual team meetings, maintaining clear communication across all stakeholders.
- Coordinate the implementation of marketing initiatives, including online and offline campaigns.
- Assist in the development and management marketing content and communications (digital and print) for business clients
- Conduct occasional in-person meetings (10% of the time) for strategic planning and client interactions.
- Stay up to date with marketing tools and frameworks to improve processes and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in developing marketing plans and coordinating projects.
- Familiarity with marketing frameworks, especially STP and the 4 P’s, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Experience working with small businesses.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Interest in learning about the eyecare industry.
- Responsible, mature, and proactive attitude toward work.
- Fluency in English (writing and speaking)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Marketing or Business
- Experience working with small businesses and understanding their unique marketing needs.
- High proficiency with project management tools, social media platforms, and marketing tools/technologies
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
