Overview
I am a sole practitioner criminal defence lawyer seeking an assistant who will be responsible for day-to-day organization and client relations for my office.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage incoming calls with proper phone etiquette
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using legal management software
- Assist with filing, document organization, and maintaining legal files in compliance with firm standards
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and interviews for myself
- Handle administrative tasks including copying, scanning, and managing incoming/outgoing mail
- Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines and tracking case progress
Skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong data entry skills with accuracy in clerical tasks such as filing and document management
- Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette
- Experience in interviewing or assisting with client intake processes is a plus
- Ability to multitask efficiently while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
This role requires a proactive individual who can balance administrative duties with client relations.

Pay: $35,700.00-$45,000.00 per year
