Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food service. This role is essential for maintaining smooth kitchen operations, assisting with meal preparation, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food industry work, excellent attention to detail, and a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks as directed by the kitchen staff
- Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service
- Handle food safely and hygienically, following proper food handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
- Help with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team during busy service hours, ensuring smooth operations
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is desirable
- Experience working in the food industry or in a restaurant setting will be considered a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
