Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Picker and Packer to join our warehouse team. This role involves accurately selecting and packing products for shipment, ensuring quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and heavy equipment operation, with a focus on maintaining safety standards and meeting productivity goals. Responsibilities
- Select items from inventory based on order specifications using order picker equipment or manual methods
- Pack products securely, ensuring proper labeling and documentation for shipping
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, or other warehouse machinery as needed
- Load and unload shipments safely using appropriate tools and techniques
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements within the warehouse management system
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting and equipment operation
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity targets and quality standards
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction is preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and heavy equipment operation (forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes) is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy machinery safely
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail for order picking accuracy and packing quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety guidelines
- Prior experience with order picker devices or similar warehouse equipment is advantageous
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Relevant certifications for forklift or crane operation are a plus but not mandatory
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
