Job Responsibilities:
- Creating a warm and welcome environment by providing exceptional client care services in person, over the phone and through e-mail
- Triaging the need for emergent care
- Administrative duties such as scheduling, follow-ups on appointments, reminder calls, email inquiries, insurance claims, faxing, and the like
- Effective internal communication between clients and veterinary staff members
- Keeping a clean environment and re-stocking of supplies

Skills and Basic Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on empathy and customer service
- Ability to multitask in a busy stimulating (sometimes loud) environment
- Work effectively as a team or on their own, with or without supervision
- Graduates of an approved Veterinary Assisting or Veterinary Office Assistat diploma program and animal healthcare background preferred
- Previous veterinary clinic experience preferred
- Previous client service/client care related experience required
- Existing knowledge of medical terminology and veterinary computer software systems (Avimark) an asset
