The Position
We currently have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Multi-Family Maintenance Technician with an eye for detail to join our team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager and Property Manager, the Maintenance Technician will focus on suite renovations and assist in a variety of jobs concerning the general upkeep, improvement, and maintenance of the property.
The Ideal Candidate
Strong skillset in mud, wall repairs, basic electrical, knowledgeable plumbing skills, basic framing skills, and painting skills are assets.
· Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and openly in all interactions; both verbal and written.
· Reliable and responsive team player.
· Attention to detail and accuracy, even as priorities change, and emergencies intervene.
· Prioritize, schedule, and monitor a workload independently and within a team, to meet project goals in a safe and timely manner.
· Self-starter that can manage their time and projects to meet deadlines.
· Assist tradespeople as needed or required.
· Ability to think on the go
Qualifications & Experience
· Minimum 3 years experience with suite renovations and building maintenance.
· Experience with carpentry and/or finishing carpentry is an asset.
· Valid drivers’ licence and vehicle required.
· Level 1 First Aid required or willingness to obtain. Belmont will provide the training
· Experience with suite renovations is an asset.
· Experience working in multi-family buildings is required.
· Asbestos Certification Level 2, or a willingness to obtain. Belmont will provide the training
· Criminal Record Check is Required
