Commercial Painter (Temporary Contract)
Position Summary
We are hiring experienced commercial painters for a temporary commercial painting project in Ottawa.
This position is for painters who can produce clean, consistent work with minimal supervision. Applicants must have strong experience with production painting and be comfortable maintaining quality while working efficiently.
Project Details
- One commercial job site only (no travel between multiple locations).
- Pain is already completed; all units are fully primed.
- Work consists of applying first and second finish coats only.
- Work will be completed inside pre-constructed POD units.
- Painters will work in teams of two per unit.
- All paint and coating materials are supplied by the company.
- Painters are required to supply their own painting tools and equipment only.
Responsibilities
- Apply first and second finish coats to primed surfaces.
- Produce clean, professional finishes with minimal defects.
- Maintain a consistent production pace while meeting quality standards.
- Protect completed work and keep the work area clean.
- Communicate with the site supervisor regarding progress or any issues.
- Work safely and follow all site safety requirements.
- Work cooperatively with your assigned partner to complete each unit efficiently.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional painting experience (commercial experience preferred).
- Ability to produce high-quality brush and roller finishes.
- Experience with airless spraying is considered an asset.
- Must supply your own painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, extension poles, trays, buckets, and hand tools.
- Reliable transportation to the job site.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Pay: $21.00-$22.50 per hour
