Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections
- Decorate cakes with creative designs using cake decorating techniques
- Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Package baked goods for retail or catering purposes while maintaining quality standards
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product selections and inquiries
- Follow recipes accurately and adapt as needed for special orders or dietary requirements
- Support the team during busy periods to ensure timely production and delivery of products
Requirements
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Strong skills in kitchen operations, including cooking, food packaging, and presentation
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in food industry roles such as bakery, restaurant, or catering is preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; weekend availability is a plus
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required
