Overview
Diamonds Medical Clinic is a newly modernized, technology-driven primary care clinic that opens in early 2026. We are seeking an experienced Clinic Manager to lead day-to-day operations, oversee administrative and clinical support teams, and ensure the clinic operates efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong patient-centered focus.
This role is critical to the clinic’s success and is ideal for a healthcare operations professional with strong coordination skills, hands-on leadership experience, and a solid understanding of HR practices within Alberta’s regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinic Operations & Administration –
· Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality service delivery.
· Coordinate scheduling for physicians, MOAs, nurses, and allied providers
· Manage clinic policies, procedures, and operational workflows.
· Lead, coach, and support clinic staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and respect.
· Ensure effective use of clinic space, technology, and resources.
Team Leadership & Coordination –
· Lead, support, and supervise MOAs, nurses, and administrative staff.
· Provide operational leadership and oversight across both DMC and DWC, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, policies, and service standards.
· Foster a collaborative, professional, and patient-focused team culture
· Act as the primary coordination point between physicians, staff, and external partners.
· Champion clinic culture, values, and patient experience, embedding a patient-first mindset into all operational and leadership practices.
Human Resources & Compliance –
· Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of clinic staff.
· Ensure compliance with Alberta Employment Standards, privacy legislation, and workplace policies.
· Take full ownership of physician scheduling and coverage, including management of visiting physician arrangements and FTE-day coverage models at the DWC, in line with the approved Business Plan.
· Manage performance feedback, attendance, and basic employee relations matters
· Maintain accurate HR and personnel records within the HRIS
· Collaborate with Human Resources Consultant to ensure the Company alignes with Alberta Employment Standards
Financial & Administrative Oversight –
· Support billing workflows, payroll coordination, and benefits administration.
· Provide financial and billing coordination support to the clinics, while clearly recognizing that physicians retain full ownership and control of their professional billings and income.
· Establish, monitor, and report on core operational KPIs, including but not limited to:
v -Patient flow and wait times
v -Staffing efficiency
· Billing accuracy and revenue cycle effectiveness
· Monitor operational expenses and support budget adherence.
· Liaise with vendors, service providers, and benefits administrators
Technology & Systems –
· Oversee day-to-day use of clinic systems, including EMR and scheduling tools.
· Support staff training and adoption of technology-driven workflows
Qualifications & Experience
· Minimum 3 years of experience as a Clinic Manager or equivalent leadership role in a medical or healthcare setting
· Strong administrative and operational management background
· Demonstrated excellence in coordination, organization, and problem-solving
· Working knowledge of HR practices and Alberta Employment Standards
· Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, and staff management
· Proficiency with EMRs and healthcare administrative systems
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Assets
· Experience managing multi-provider clinics or high-volume practices
· Familiarity with Accuro EMR or similar systems
· Experience supporting physician-led practices
