Position: Janitor/Cleaner Aide
Department: Environmental Services
Status: Temporary Full-time for approximately 1 year
Hours: Monday to Sunday, Days, 7.5 hour shifts; 7:00AM to 3:00PM, must work every other weekend (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
This is what you’ll be doing:
Leadhand and in-Charge Responsibilities - Accommodation and Support Service Tasks include: comprehensive cleaning including patient rooms, frequent dry/wet mopping of large floor spaces including Food Services kitchen, dish room and production areas, dining rooms etc.; frequent pick up, transport & disposal of' waste, cardboard and soiled linen; quality assessment; other duties as assigned.

Secondary school diploma or equivalent required
Good communication skills - must be able to read, write and speak English
Minimum one year recent housekeeping experience, preferably in a Healthcare environment
Ability to work independently
Ability to lift fifty up to (50) pounds
Ability to climb twenty (20) foot ladder
Able to operate heavy machinery
Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position
Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
Salary: $22.66 to $23.09 per hour
