Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a Terminal Manager to join our team in Bathurst, NB.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will use dynamic problem-solving, a strong work ethic, and positive attitude to lead the daily operations and performance of our Bathurst Terminal.
The Terminal Manager is responsible for all operational areas to ensure efficiency, on-time delivery, and safety goals are met. Through effective leadership and a hands-on management approach, this role will drive terminal performance to implement strategies, meet objectives, and foster employee engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with all departments and terminals to eliminate barriers in the movement of equipment and freight to maximize usage and minimize cost.
- Supervise the Bathurst Terminal's daily duties, ensuring that performance, quality, and service standards are met, including monitoring dock cleanliness, ensuring orders are out for delivery, and reviewing equipment needs to ensure all customer requirements are met.
- Manage employee relationships and performance management within the terminal, fostering an environment of trust, open communication, and accountability.
- Prepare reports on performance, freight damage, accidents and injuries, customers, and employees to provide insights and support decision-making.
- Work with the Director of NB Operations and Dispatch to forecast equipment and staffing needs based on volumes and customer demand.
- Ensure the Bathurst Terminal is compliant with all safety, training, and regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and processes and policies.

Technical Skills
- Computer literacy and a strong understanding of Microsoft Office are required.
- Experience and understanding of the TruckMate system are considered an asset.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced terminal/office environment.
- Ability to work variable shifts when required (days, nights, weekends, holidays) and longer shifts to cover gaps.
- A high volume of communication via email and phone.
Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in the transportation and logistics industry or a related field, or a combination of relevant work experience and education. For example, CITT Supply Chain and Logistics Certification, or other relevant college degree or industry certification.
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in a terminal supervisor role.
- Knowledge of the road transportation industry, including Atlantic Canadian geography and travel times, is considered an asset.
